The Italian Industrial Furnace Manufacturer's Committee, CICOF a
non profit organization, was established in 1973 under the sponsorship of
the Italian Electrotechnical and Electronic Association ANIE - and of the
Italian Mechanical and Engineering Industry Federation - ANIMA.
The CICOF member-companies - all highly specialized and qualified,
cover about 90% of the specific national production. Over 40% of their turnover
is exported to foreign countries.
Main objectives of CICOF are: defining quality standards, fixing
general sale and installation conditions, sponsoring and arranging exhibitions
and conferences, setting up committees for studying specific topics (safety
rules, liaisons with institutions for standardisation, etc.), settling disputes
by arbitration and taking into consideration all matters of interest from
a technical-economic point of view.
Mr. Michele Bendotti (FORNI INDUSTRIALI BENDOTTI) was unanimously appointed
as new President during the CICOF Assembly of 27 March 2003.
